FAQ – Frequently asked questions about the TCM Clinic

General information

1. What is special about the TCM Clinic?

Our clinic concept combines “the best of two worlds” – Chinese and Western medicine.
It is based on four pillars, which can be seen in the illustration below.
The special feature of our hospital is the connection between psychosomatic and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Our hospital is an integrative clinic project in which, within a conventional medical framework, our Chinese doctors offer patients, with a high level of expertise, the diagnostic system developed over thousands of years and the associated methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
We believe that, with our clinic concept, we can offer you a connection that is unique in this form in Europe for the successful combination treatment of SOMA (body) and PSYCHE (soul).

2. How is your treatment team composed?

The treatment team of the TCM Clinic Bad Kötzting is interdisciplinary and includes specialists from various medical and therapeutic fields.
Our treatment team consists, on the one hand, of Chinese doctors and professors who come to us directly from the TCM University of Beijing and its affiliated university hospitals.
They are responsible for the TCM therapy.
At the same time, the German treatment team – which consists of the psychological team, the Western medical team and the specialist therapists – provides an optimal connection with modern psychosomatics, which captures the patient as a whole and offers many forms of support for self‑initiative and coping with illness.
If necessary, conventional medical measures and Western naturopathic procedures are additionally employed in this way.
Qualified nursing staff and medical assistants look after you around the clock in the day‑to‑day ward routine, are direct contact persons for your questions and worries, and support you in implementing the measures recommended by doctors and therapists.
